Al-Marzouq: Tamdeen Demonstrates its Commitment to Social Responsibility by Supporting the Development of Future Real Estate Leaders
As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the practical knowledge of university students, the Real Estate Union, in collaboration with Dr. Fahad Al-Mudhaf — Assistant Professor in the Department of Finance at the College of Business Administration, Kuwait University — organized a field visit to 360 Mall and Grand Hyatt Kuwait, hosted by Tamdeen Group.
The visit offered students a valuable opportunity to gain direct insight into the operations and management of major shopping centers and luxury hotels. Executives from Tamdeen Group delivered an extensive overview of the project development process, covering everything from initial concept formulation to leasing, marketing and operational strategies, with a focus on maximizing investment returns.
The students engaged enthusiastically, participating in in-depth discussions and posing insightful questions to the Tamdeen executive team and representatives of Grand Hyatt Kuwait. This interaction fostered a deeper understanding of the commercial real estate sector and the complexities involved in managing large-scale retail and hospitality projects. Many students expressed their appreciation for the initiative, highlighting its role in complementing their academic coursework with essential real-world experience.
Dr. Fahad Al-Mudhaf emphasized the critical importance of such initiatives in bridging the gap between academic theories and professional practice. He underscored his commitment to increasing the frequency of these field visits, given their tangible impact on preparing students for careers in the real estate and finance sectors.
Tamdeen Group’s executive team expressed their delight in hosting the visit and commended the students for their eagerness and keen interest, particularly in areas related to commercial project management and leasing strategies — key pillars of successful real estate ventures.
Commenting on the initiative, Mr. Mahmoud Dawood Al-Marzouq, Chief Executive Officer of Tamdeen Real Estate Company, reaffirmed the group’s strong commitment to empowering young talent by exposing them to the practical realities of the shopping mall and hospitality industries. He emphasized that fostering such awareness is vital for professional development and for strengthening the real estate sector’s role in supporting national economic growth. Al-Marzouq also highlighted the importance of educating students about managing landlord-tenant relationships, especially during times of crisis, to ensure the long-term sustainability of real estate investments.
Meanwhile, Ms. Munira Al-Khamees, Executive Director of Public and Government Relations, praised the visit as an extension of the Real Estate Union’s pivotal role in supporting educational and awareness initiatives. She stressed the importance of equipping the next generation with the skills and knowledge required to understand market realities, meet sector challenges and seize emerging opportunities in Kuwait’s dynamic real estate landscape.
