360 Kuwait, the region’s first retail, sports and leisure destination, has been accredited by the Health Cities Office at the Ministry of Health with the Dianmond Ranking, the highest ranking, as a Health Promoting Mall. 360 Kuwait has also received three special medals, the first being in the area of green environments for the Vertical Gardens designed by Patrick Blanc, the famous French botanist, which have also become a stable of 360 Kuwait. The second medal was awarded for the corporate social responsibility initiatives taken for different segments of society like women, children and people with special needs; while the third award was granted for the sports activities that have been ongoingly held to promote a healthy environment at 360, in addition to opening the mall before working hours for walkers.
The mall and its facilities were evaluated from the accreditation team comprised of 25 individuals representing various governmental sectors within the area of health, safety and security and headed by the Ministry of Health. The 360 Centre Management Team welcomed the accreditation committee presenting to them the full health standards, policies and procedures set and implemented by the Centre then took them on a field walk to see the execution of these standards on the ground, which was met with great accolades and praise as the committee highlighted the great measures taken by the 360 team to oversee the implementation of these standards.
The Health Promoting Mall initiative is the first of its kind in the region and one which was recommended by the World Health Organization and advocated by the Gulf Council of Health Ministers as this initiative furthers the importance of private and public sector partnership.
